Frequent Visitors To Our Home
This week has been crazy with work and contractors in the house. On a up note the Hatfields and McCoys on the History Channel has be amazing. If you haven't seen it I would dedicate the six hours and watch it. Each episode is two hours and its made like a movie so no stuffy narration and it stars Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton whats not to love?
I cannot get Regina Spektor's song Hero out of my head after I watched 500 days of Summer on Sunday. Its played during my favorite part of the movie where they play Tom's expectations vs his reality. This song goes beautifully with this scene of the movie. If you haven't seen 500 Days of Summer you need too its one of those movies that sticks with you and you have to watch every time its on TV or movie channel.
On this day that many people enjoy the day off and BBQ I always take a step back and remember those who defended our right to blog, bbq, and be free. I come from a long line of Military men who served their country with pride and fearlessness. I just want everyone today just to take a step back and think about where we could be if it wasn't for the men and women who do not get a day off and put their life on the line for all of us that the they will never meet.
Let me preface this post with I love love love movies. So with that being said here are a few movies that are on my must see list! If these movies do not fit your taste check out The Lovely Lemons they may fit what your looking for :)
1. Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter
Usually I am a stickler for historically accurate films (its the history teacher inside me) but this movie based on a book by the similar title looks amazing. I mean Tim Burton in my book can do no wrong, and after reading this little gem I realized you can be somewhat historically based but add that Vampires are the reason Ol Honest Abe became president.
2. The Dark Knight Rises
Here is where I feel "ITS BATMAN COME ON" suffices as an excuse but I digress. With the Batman story this movie looks to be just as good as the last. The trailer gives my goosebumps and gets my adrenalin pumping. An all star cast including some of my favorites like Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordan Levitt. Try not to be on the edge of your seat when you watch it.
3. The Great Gatsby
Another book to movie gem that is sure to win my heart. I have always loved this book even as a high school-er that was forced to read it. I am not going to give too much away but the story is wrought with deception and drama. Plus seeing Leo DiCaprio and Toby Maguire together in a period piece what more could a girl ask for?
4. Prometheus I have loved the director Ridley Scott since I first watched the Alien movies. Now we have what seems to be the prequel to the series itself. Although its still ambiguous from the trailer itself. Either way I am really excited for this film
5. Snow White and the Huntsman Even though I am not a huge Kristen Stewart fan, I am really excited for this movie. I am a fan of fairy tale movies and this one looks amazing. From the various monsters to the story line I feel that this maybe a winner! Plus Chris Hemsworth a the huntsman sign me up.
As I said in a previous post Devin and I love day trips! Here are are my three all time favorite places to visit and spend my days or vacations.
1. DISNEY WORLD
I love this place the most because no matter your age you can always be a kid!
Disney is also a super special place because it is where Devin asked me to marry him right behind that beautiful castle at the wishing well :)
2. Colorado Its a beautiful place to visit and I love spending time with Devin and his Family. It is a state full of people who like to be outdoorsy and thats is definitely up our alley Although next time we need to go when I can wear shorts comfortably :)
3. Rainbow Springs
It is an amazing park about 2 hours North in Ocala. We always like to visit the park with our closest friends and cook out near the spring. The best part about Rainbow Springs is the abandoned zoo (its very zombie apocalyptic)!
Those are my top three places to visit for a day trip or vacation. I would like to know what are some of yours?
Devin and I love to go on various day trips throughout the week. From trips to the park or Orlando we are always on the go. These photos are from our trip yesterday to the Wilderness Park on Morris Bridge Rd.
