Movies in Review: The Avengers

If you have been living under a rock for the past few weeks then you have not heard of the movie that is breaking all of the box office records and is rumored to beat out Avatar for the highest grossing movie of all time. Its called the Avengers, Marvels rag tag team of super heroes brought together by S.H.I.E.L.D to save the world from various evil doers.

I could watch this tralier all day long it give me goosbumps

This movie ranks in my top ten best films of all my life, I know IMDB call me up to start a list. This movie has it all from comedy to explosions to great filming sequences. Your probably wondering big deal another super hero movie, remember Green Lantern "yawn". But this film has what that did not a wonderful director, a fantastic cast, and Disney's money to back it up.

I don't want to give any spoilers so I am going to keep it short and sweet. It starts with Loki his need to rule, the Avengers are asked to come together, they fight with each other, and come together in the nick of time to save the world. Its a simple formula that works for this genre of film. What makes it stand out is at various points it was funny with out feeling corny. Their ability to clue in a new fan (like Devin, he hates comic book movies but since the Avengers we have watched all the other films) and leave them with enough information so they are not clueless. In other words you do not have to be a super nerd to get it.

So all in all Avengers go see it, I think you will like it :)
