New Craft Revealed!

Ok so I teased a new project I started and now here is the new book marks that I have created!

They are awesome dinosaurs with mustaches! They are super cute and will protect your spot in your favorite book!

Aww he has a buddy!

The backs of the dinosaurs are covered in fabric to make sure that the felt will not stain the book and to keep them from sliding out.

I absolutely love these and I hope you do too!

Craft List For The Year

So after my party I have been a lil low on craft ideas that can be accomplished in a short amount of time. Without becoming too bummed I have decided to create a list of crafts or crafty talents to teach myself by the end of the year but if all the crafty bloggers I read can accomplish this so can I.

  1. Sew this skirt from Freshly Picked
  2. Learn how to create felt creatures like the ones in Aranzi Aronzo's books like The Cute Book
  3. Learn to knit (like everyone else in the world lol) I am a scarf nut and this way I can create my own.
  4. Finish my wedding scrap book (this involves printing and countless hours of stickering)
  5. Create a more versatile crafting space with more storage (hey i know not a crafting idea but it involves crafting)
  6. Make more head bands of different creatures for friends and become great at it and move on from felt and yarn.....I'm thinking dinos?
  7. Become craftier with my baking skills and that means zombie items oh yeah
  8. Start a quilt from old t-shirts or another material......(yes got the idea from eclipse but who doesn't want a quilt made from snugly old tees?)
  9. Find old frames and revamp them for decoration an framing purposes
  10. Start painting anything and everything I can.
So I give myself a year from today and lets see how far I can get

Here's to a year of crafting

My First Fan

Today one of my besties received her birthday present from me in the mail.

Were both huge zombie fans so I made her a 50s style Zombie lady to compliment her wardrobe.

Doesn't she look Amazing!

This is a close up of the headband

Im so excited that I was able to make her such an awesome birthday present and be on the look out for more awesome headbands on the way

Photos and Instructions for a Zombie-tastic Headband

Now here is how you can make a craft-tastic head band.

Felt- in various colors to suit your needs
Scissors of course
Yarn cut to fit around your head
A Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
A Permanent Marker or Other Tracing Implement

Trace Your Zombie Face

I used this guy as my inspiration!

Also cut out the clothes for your zombie and glue them together like so... See he was my inspiration

After your Zombie Buddy is complete place the yarn around your head to find where you want him placed.
After you locate the area hold the place with one hand, flip your zombie over and lay the yarn on top.
Glue him in place with the hot glue gun and let dry

After he dries you will have the best undead headband around

Any questions leave a comment and happy crafting

Doing up the Crafts

Lately I have been feeling the craft bug! It all started with a look at the lovely lemon blog. Shes a fellow co-worker that has amazing craft ideas.

Here is a link to her blog and all of her lovely crafty poos

So I have been working on some variations of her headband idea and I will have some of the pics up soon. Lets just say Zombies and Harry Potter are involved.

Now this is my first time having a craft blog and I am excited to finally be posting some of my craft ideas and variations of others ideas and do not worry you will always receive credit and a link to check it out for yourself.

So to all my little craft monsters be on the look out for my super nerdy head band photos coming soon!
